Cathy Dennsion was named Member of the Year 2005 at the Zion Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department annual banquet on Saturday, March 18th, 2006.

Cathy was chosen for her outstanding service and support as President of the Auxiliary for the past 2 years. Her dedication and determination has helped the Auxiliary with public service events, such as the Open House and successful fundraising events like the Fire Department Cookbook.

"I never thought I would ever get an award like that," stated an excited Dennsion. "You are all very special to me, and I just hope one day, that the Auxiliary can present something really good to the entire department."

Station 7

In the summer of 1992, Bill Lewis organized a group of 23 concerned citizens for adding additional fire protection in the southwestern area of Louisa County, Virginia. Monthly meetings and training were held at the Three Chopt Community Center.

Our first truck was donated by Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department, which is still in operation today as Brush 7.
